Whole foods nourish our physical and mental well-being.
While most of us are aware of the innumerable health benefits that can be achieved through physical activity, regular exercise is just one piece of the puzzle when working towards optimal health. We live in a society that is tired, overworked, overweight, and yet undernourished. Our culture devalues the importance of adequate sleep and the need to develop healthy ways of managing stress. Compounding the problem is a modern cookie-cutter “eat less, exercise more” approach to diet and weight-loss and a dependence on fad diets and newfangled supplements, all of which create more stress and frustration when they don’t work.
Somewhere along the line, we have forgotten about the importance of real, whole foods and their ability to nourish our physical and mental well-being. We have lost the ability to recognize the signals our bodies provide to help us determine what’s healthy for us. It is my goal to address the uniqueness of each of my clients and develop individualized health protocols that include dietary modification and stress management techniques as a part of their exercise program.
