Hi, I’m Sara. After nearly 15 years in Santa Barbara working as a holistic nutritionist, fitness coach, and gym owner, I stepped back to focus on my growing family and made the move to Bend, Oregon.

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition—or anything, really. While I don’t follow a specific diet, I love experimenting with new ingredients and finding inspiration in what’s local and in season.

These days, most of my time is spent chasing after my two toddlers, Emi and Owen. When I’m not on the move with them, I’m lifting, running, or walking the trails with my Vizsla, Foxy—or sneaking in a quiet moment with a good book. As I ease back into professional work, I’m looking to reconnect with purpose-driven opportunities that align with my background in wellness, education, and client support.

Experience & Credentials

Prior to co-owning Titan Sports Performance, I worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor at Titan and several other local gyms, studios, retirement communities, and clinics from 2007 to 2015.

In 2013, I earned my MS in Holistic Nutrition with the goal of helping clients build sustainable, whole-food-based eating habits. In 2015, I was introduced to The Metabolism Plan and trained under its creator, Lyn-Genet Recitas, to work as a certified health coach specializing in anti-inflammatory nutrition.

After nearly a decade of misdiagnoses related to a chronic hormone imbalance, I developed a deep interest in women’s hormonal health. In 2019, I completed an apprenticeship with women’s health expert Nicole Jardim to deepen my expertise in this area.

At Titan, I provided nutrition coaching to individuals, groups, and students. I also programmed and led our adult group training classes, personal training sessions, and our Golden Gears senior fitness program. While I’m equipped to work with a wide range of populations, I have the most experience with:

  • Women’s hormonal health, including exercise and nutrition programs tailored to all life stages

  • Pre- and postnatal fitness and nutrition support

  • Geriatric fitness, including balance, strength, and flexibility training

  • Prehabilitation and post-physical therapy maintenance programs

  • Functional training to support activities of daily living

  • Injury-aware program design and exercise modification
